Meet Our New Instructor: Fun Facts That Make Casey Special
Updated: Sep 30

Meet Casey! We are excited for you to get to know this sweet, steady, and kind new instructor.
Casey is already an important part of our community, having practiced with us for a few years. She is genuinely loved around the studio as a warm, welcoming presence, and now you have the chance to experience the voice and energy she brings as an instructor.
You can catch Casey on the schedule Wednesday evenings:
- Mindful: 6:30 PM
- Yin: 8:00 PM
While Casey teaches chill classes here at Union Yoga, she is an active go-getter and outdoor adventure seeker who loves hiking, skiing, chasing winter, hugging a tree or two, and playing soccer. She played college soccer for Gonzaga University and continues to play in local leagues today.
Casey loves travel and calls Everett home. For over ten years, she organized memorable group trips through Europe, and she currently manages corporate travel to remote Alaska. Fun fact: she also speaks Italian after living abroad in Florence during college!
Be sure to say hello and get to know Casey's warm, animal-loving heart next time you are at the studio for class.

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
“Send It!” My favorite thing to do in the whole world is rip a mountain on skis. This phrase means send the jump, feel the thrill and trust you’ll land, choose the adventure, go for what you want, charge it!
What yoga pose(s) makes you happy?
All the heart openers 💜
Describe yourself in three words:
Curious, kind, sensitive.

If you were to DJ your own life, what song or songs would you play in the background as you made your way through the day?
I love curating music to movement and leaning into its power to make us feel. My personal soundtrack is all over the board—classic rock, alternative, metal, disco, folk, electronic. Here’s what an easy Sunday morning sounds like:
“Mariella” — Khruangbin
“I’ve Been in Love” — Jungle
“Congratulations” — MGMT
“That’s The Way” — Led Zeppelin
“End of The Line” — Traveling Wilburys
“Holding on Tight” — Claire Wright & The Hip Abduction
Rock on, friends 🤘🏼
Are you sunrise, daylight, twilight or night? Why?
Evening twilight is the vibe! It’s the most colorful and fleeting time of day, usually spent with loved ones before welcoming in the calm, cozy night.

What made you want to become a Yoga Instructor?
I discovered yin at a time when I deeply needed rest, healing, and to regulate my nervous system. As a former competitive athlete, I learned toughness and discipline, but also how to override my body’s signals. Yoga helped me redefine strength and reconnect with my body and mind.
I value the wonder, gratitude, and curiosity that arise when we slow down and become more aware of what’s happening within us. I wanted to teach to create space for others to have those moments for themselves.
